Let me introduce myself,

I was born on November 23, 1987 in Zonguldak. Being from the Black Sea is my most proud feature. I spent my childhood mostly in Çaycuma district of Zonguldak and a little bit in Elazığ. I think I learned that I was originally from Zonguldak in middle school. I had a pleasant childhood in which I traveled from village to village by bike, compiled fairy tales, took photos of old people, played a lot on the streets and picked fruits from the trees of my neighbors. I love to tell like this, I grew up at the bottom of my grandfather's series. Some nights we would read La Fontene, some evenings we would read the scriptures.

Ghazali wrote that children should either be enthusiastic about astronomy or anatomy. So he defined the chemistry of happiness. My grandfather believed it, he made me believe it, I think I was only 10 years old when he bought me my stethoscope that you use now. We dreamed of going to Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine together, and it really happened. I started in 2005 and finished in 2011. Then, with great curiosity and passion, I completed my specialization in Ankara University Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Department in 2016. After completing my compulsory service in the Black Sea and also in Ordu in the east, I have been working as an academician and a dermatological and venereal diseases specialist at Ordu University Faculty of Medicine since October 2019.

Villages, streams, hills, gardens and land are things I have been in love with for as long as I can remember. That's exactly why I named my daughters Yağmur and Toprak. I started working with soil in the villages of the Taurus Mountains in 2010. I learned a lot of things from Emine grandmother, whom I admire. (That's why Yağmur's full name is Emine Yağmur). In 2011, I learned what permaculture means from my dear Claire Sister (Claire Private). I bought my first land from Bartın in 2012. I sowed, planted and reaped. I built it, had fun. I listened to the rhythm of nature and the cycles of my sun and moon. I was able to distinguish between virtual and reality and discovered that I am much more peaceful and happy in nature. In fact, I, who have never felt myself belonging to someone somewhere, felt very Earthly there, I felt that I was part of a whole.

Reading, researching, thinking analytically, browsing scientific databases is my most enjoyable job. On one occasion, while explaining probiotic soda, wild yeast, etc. to a huge, full and curious hall at Boğaziçi University, someone came up and asked, how do you know this much. I said it is very easy. When I became curious about the Mayans, I sat down and downloaded all the Latin and English gastronomy books written since the 15th century and learned the traditional yeast methods. Then I realized it was easy for me. Not everyone has access to those databases. Of course, many people do not have the ability to read several hundred pages a night, which is the result of my medical degree. He is not as curious as I am.
